Certification

EN 15038 is an industry standard recognised by EU customers. The standard includes procedures, definitions and requirements pertaining to high-quality translation and localisation services as well as project management. 

Local standardisation bodies of most European countries are obliged to introduce the EN 15038 standard. In Poland, the PN-EN 15038:2006 standard was adopted by the European Committee for Standardisation on 13 April 2006.

PN-EN 15038:2006 specifies requirements towards translation service providers relating to: human and technical resources, quality management system, order execution management, customer relations, translation procedures, translation process monitoring and control.

The PN-EN 15038:2006 requirements pertain not only to the translation process itself, but also to other aspects of the service. They include ensuring high quality through proofreading performed by another translator (the four-eyes principle), text editing, standardisation and automation of terminology bases and translation memory management processes, IT systems and  CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, data archiving and project management.
